Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is situated just before the bridge in a quiet area with access to the beach and offers a stunning view from the breakfast room. The rooms are very simple but come with a sitting area and a deck with a couch, and they even provided a baby cot. The service was exceptional, with surprises like Prosecco, flowers, and a lovely card in the room, and the staff were helpful in guiding us to supermarkets and restaurants. The location, although a 7-minute drive from Borgarnes town, is right in front of Borgarnes and allows for a view of all the lights on the coast, similar to a Motel 6 in the USA but suitable for a night's stay while exploring the Ring Road. The dining experience was decent, offering a variety of options including for vegetarians, and the facilities were satisfactory.
Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The location was superb, with breathtaking mountain and ocean views, but the rooms were in need of modernization, which was a bit of a letdown. The service was friendly overall, but there were some communication issues during check-out. Dining offered a delicious and varied selection, making it a highlight of the stay.
The hotel offers a clean and tidy room with some noise issues that were quickly addressed. The location is stunning with easy access to major routes and beautiful landscapes, perfect for viewing the Northern Lights. The service is exceptional, with a friendly and helpful staff. However, the dining experience lacks some options, and the facilities could be improved.
